Vacationing in the Islands on Independance day, come to Barking Sands and see the fireworks! The Pacific Missle Range Facility Barking Sands, otherwise known as PMRF, is having it Stars and Stripes Freedom Celebration from 5pm to 10pm July 3rd.
The public is invited to PMRF’s free event on the grounds of Shenanigans restaurant. Kauai bands Battery Alley and Greenstone Project will provide music and the event will also inlclude a 12 minute fireworks display on the beach presented by Hawaii Explosives and Pyrotechnics, Inc. Food, games and craft booths will be available throughout the event.
Watch for signs on the highway to direct you to the entrance. Free parking will be available on base, although visitors are reminded that all vehicles will be subject to search. No outside food or beverages, coolers, tents, pets, weapons or personal fireworks are allowed, although beach umbrellas can be used. For more information on this event call 808.335.4380.
